Pre-order your iBAM Tees!

shirtsready.jpg

After taking into consideration as many ideas and suggestions as humanly possible as well as evaluating what I could logically afford, we have settled on one design and color scheme for both ladies and mens iBAM t-shirts. Starting today, I will offer a discounted price for pre-ordering (as to offset my initial expense and extend the thanks for helping me out. The price is $16 + $4 for shipping (use coupon code “preorder” and get $5 off) and after I receive the first load, I’ll nix the coupon, so order now and I’ll ship in a couple weeks. Anyway, I hope you like the design and will sport it everywhere.

Speaking of sporting it everywhere, we all want to see you in your new duds, so once you get a shirt, please either send me a pic for the iBAM flickr page or tag your pic on flickr with “ibamdudz” and we can look for it. I can’t wait to see how iBAM looks on you! Thanks to all for the help and ideas. Order your shirts below. “Viva la iBAM!” [Continued]

Shirts v2.0

I am under the impression that there are two very distinct differences in opinion for the iBAM shirt design and it basically boils down to guys vs. gals. Now, I understand that I could be wrong, but this is based on the comments, people I talked to and my opinion. That said, I have revised the design into 2 different layouts. One for gals and one for guys. You can see the differences above or in the larger mockup image below. [Continued]

On Designing Shirts for iBAM

ibam_shirt.jpg

Alright… Here’s my first attempt at incorporating the logo on to a shirt. I went for simple, but I just can’t do this by myself. Last night I showed the design to several iBAM members and a couple of the logo contest judges. Overall everyone seems pretty “okay” with the design, but as you all know, I am more interested in the opinion of the community here at iboughtamac.com so… I want to throw this design on the table and open up the discussions. There have already been some really great ideas presented so before I ordered the shirts, I wanted to see if there were any other ideas from the iBAM crew.

iBoughtAMac Logo Contest Winner

ibam_winner.jpg

We have a winner and his name is Christopher Ware! Congratulations Christopher, your logo now graces the iBAM screen space. I can’t even express how great it was to have this contest and to see all the amazing designs that were submitted. I think we will need to use as many of them for as many things as the designers will allow us to. With over 60 submissions, the competition was fierce and there were so many great designs to pick from. With a three way tie, Justine tried to vote at the Apple Store in SF while on Justin.tv but the Internet wasn’t cooperating so she came in with the last vote live tonight on GeekRiot, then announced it live via TalkShoe & Geek Riot. Today is the last day of the I Bought a Mac logo design contest. We have received over 50 submissions so far and I am extremely impressed with the participation. I just wanted to shoot you a quick reminder that we close the contest tonight at midnight so if you have a submission that you are still working on, be sure to bust it out!

Thank you so much to all for your participation and support of this site and what we do here. I truly appreciate it! I can’t wait to see what the judges think!
