Here I am, unable to sleep once again and so I find myself plinking away through my Mint pages and I notice a link from a “random” post. With not much to do, I decide to investigate and to my surprise, I have been tagged by Kim M. Bayne and her Minced Media blog. Tagged? You may ask… Well, From what I gather, this particular tagging must result in a completely spontaneous post containing eight random facts about me. Now, I don’t consider myself all that interesting, but I’ll try to think of the most random stuff I can in hopes that you find it semi-interesting. Here goes (In no specific order) … [Continued]
In case some of you were wondering (most weren’t I’m sure). I was on a mini-vacation in Mexico all this last week, choking on filthy sea water while trying to body surf in the ultra choppy ocean waves. I haven’t taken a break in a very long time, so this one came very timely. Now that I am back, I can get back to posting and what-not. It’s going to be another crazy summer for me so I have enlisted the help of some guest bloggers to help keep things spiced up here on iBAM. You have already seen some of their posts, but look forward to reading more as the next couple months take place. I am really excited about all the stuff planned for this summer and can’t wait to see things take place. Here’s a couple reminders: [Continued]
So… I pulled in my driveway last night and passing one of the houses on my street, I noticed there were these signs in the front yard of my neighbor’s house. By the information written on the signs, I noticed that they had just had twin baby girls and were announcing them to the neighborhood with 2 stork-shaped signs on their front lawn. But for some reason, there was something just a little wrong with the image I was seeing. Suddenly, I realized that these signs were the victims of yet another “design gone terribly wrong”. Now, I am happy for them and the new addition to their family (I don’t even really know them) but I think if it were me, I would have taken a second look at the shape of the sign in the stork’s mouth and avoided my daughters first images of home having their names written on mis-shapen bags in the form of “@#%$ sacks”. But maybe it is just me. You be the judge… [Continued]
So… we’re in the blogger’s choice awards. We are running in 3 categories. Best Blog About Stuff, Best Geek Blog, and my personal favorite, Best Blog Design. If you get a chance, take a second and swing by to vote for iBAM. I’d love for Derek’s design to win something. Don’t know what the winning prize is, but it would be cool none the less.
You probably didn’t notice, but there’s a new link in the menu up there. It says “Watch” and that’s just what it is. Now that I have fought with Ustream.tv for 2 weeks (seems that’s the time I need to fight with everything before I figure it out), and finally have it working. I have linked it to my built-in iSight camera in my MacBook Pro and you can look through it’s eyeball just about anytime I remember to turn it on. Here’s a warning though, It’s not that interesting watching me stare at my screen all day doing what I do, but every once in a while, there’s something cool to look at, like maybe during the iBAM TalkCast or when I’m telling stupid stories in the office or something. Honestly, it’s there for those times and really nothing else. Stop by every once in a while and I’ll do my best to keep things interesting.
