Recently Belkin released news about a new cable to hit the market. They lovingly call it the PC-to-Mac Transfer Kit. So you too can switch from your crusty old PC to a spiffy new Mac easily with this $50 cable from Belkin.
Realistically, a simple USB drive would suffice, or even a little nicely worded question to the genius at the Apple store (or about 10 or so other fairly simple migration methods). However, if you are looking for a simple way, have an extra $50 bucks burning a hole in your pocket and like plugging things in, this nifty little gizmo is right up your alley.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s cool and all, but a quick google search and some patience will get the job done too. I’m just saying…
I don’t know about you but I have been going through some serious withdrawl ever since Twitter killed the track feature:
While I was out at NME this year, I started playing with an idea to attempt to get at least “some” of my tracking back. The idea isn’t perfect (yet) but it at least gets me one step closer to the track feature. At least until Twitter turns it back on (hint, hint… please guys!!) So here’s what I did:
Set TwitterFeed to send updates to my “new account”
Follow my “new account” and turned on those notifications
Now this (as I said before) isn’t perfect and not nearly as frequent as I would like but not being a coder or Twitter API-ologist, this was the only thing I could think of. So, until someone makes a nifty app for this (or helps me do one), this is my solution. Who knows, maybe you can one-up me? Bring it! I want my tracking back! Post your tips in the comments, I’m all ears!
Recently, I received a box in the mail with a few iSkin products to play with. It’s been a few days or so now so I figured it was time for me to post my thoughts on the ones I got to experiment with. All in all, I am very impressed with most of the products I have seen over at iskin.com. I have some thoughts based on my personal usage, but for the most part, I think they have got a cool thing going on over there. Here’s what I played with: [Continued]
Viddler is launching it’s “(brand yourself)” campaign at the New Media Expo through their new NME video site. However, this isn’t the only nifty Viddler thing going on behind the scenes. Yes, myself and several others are going to be there at NME with a bunch of co-branded Viddler tees to give away, but that’s not it either. What then is the newest, coolest new treat over at Viddler? It’s the spiffy new features they are rolling out into their services for those of us who use them. There’s a bunch of new stuff and I don’t even know which one is the best. I’ll do my darndest to expose them all and give you a good peek at what we all can play with via our settings admin panel over at Viddler. [Continued]
