Targus 360º Rotating Stand/Case for iPad2

Targus just sent me their new iPad2 case for review. I have to say, it’s pretty impressive. I really dig the (faux) leather cover, hole in the middle for the Apple logo and the soft interior lining. It’s classy and does a great job protecting the iPad without adding too much bulk. The kicker for me though was the rotating function. The inside of the main cover flap has two different indentions in it to allow for the iPad to stand up at 2 different angles in either portrait OR landscape mode. Pretty sweet! The only drawback I found was that the front of the cover sticks out quite a bit when the iPad is standing and the indentions don’t really hold on the the iPad as much as I would like so this made it difficult to have it propped up on a not-so-flat surface (a.k.a. my lap or leg). It really wasn’t to bad though so I think I can learn to live with it. All in all, I give this cover a 7 out of 10, maybe even an 8.

Here’s some pics so you can see what it looks like:

I bought one yesterday and I have to say it’s really sturdy and for the desk, it’s perfect.

Not sure if they could have added a magnet to shut off the iPad automatically but it’s not a major chore to do so myself.

The inside material means that if I flip it open, the material grips my clothing real well so it doesn’t slip.

    8/10.
