I have been having the same problems times 100! Not only is my 3G slow, but it crashes and freezes completely at least 5 times a day!!! When it does this I can't do anything. I have even let it sit there for 2 hours and it was still frozen. The only thin I have been able to do to get it out of most of these crashes is a hard reset by holding both buttons down for 10 seconds (sometimes that doesn't even solve the problem). For the past few weeks I have been reading forums on q million different fixes to the problem. I installed apps to help free up memory, I have completely restored the phone to factory settings and wiped everything to try and fix the horrible horrible performance. If you asked me one month ago about the iphone I would have told you I would be a proud owner of one for life, but now after this mess and the thought of getting the iPhone 4 with all of it's problems sounds horrible! I NEVER thought I would say this, but I am now shopping the market for iPhone alternatives (and a bonus without AT&T). <br>My beloved iphone that I have with me 24-7 and literally have my entire life on thanks to all the useful apps has now become a paper weight/ flash light to get my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night (we'll see if the next update finds a way to ruin one or both of those functions as well).

The problem is when they designed the software, they didn't take the hardware into account. While you lose some of the functionality, the main thing you still get is the folders. To be honest, that is the best function of the upgrade. I have my 3GS, just because my contract isn't up yet, but as soon as it is, I will have the iPhone 4.
