I'd recommend Stanza if one does not wish to carry around a second device nor do they want Classics if they are an avid reader. Stanza does a very good job as an iPhone/iPod Touch ebook reader as well, and it's completely free, with downloadable books from online catalogs or you can simply add your own to the library from your computer via wifi network.
