It’s the day after Thanksgiving here in the United States, do you know where the deals are?

The Big Deals

Apple – Apple’s kept the word mum on their Black Friday sale so far, but you can see Apple’s past Black Friday deals via MacRumors. Apple discounted the iMac, Macbook, iPod Nano, iPod Classic, iPod Touch, and AppleTV modestly. It’s expected that the macs will recieve discounts up to $100, and iPods & accessories will see some discounts as well. If you’re shopping for the best deal at the Apple Store, be sure to check out the Refurb/Special Deals section, which provides deals year-round.
Amazon – Amazon has a whole section of their site devoted to the Black Friday sales, including 50 MP3 Albums at $5 each, a $47 Logitech MX Revolution, a 30 1TB Western Digital Internal HD 30 1TB Western Digital Internal HD, and of course the whole line of Apple Products.
MacMall – This authorized Apple re-seller is selling macs at great deals, where you have up to $994 off Macbook Airs, and $1094 on Macbook Pros – not all of the deals apply to the current line of Macs, so be sure to check out what you’re buying!
Drobo – Drobo’s got a holiday promotion going on, where you can get a 4TB Drobo bundle for $949, or a 2TB Bundle for $699.

John, that doesn't sound like a bad choice to me; I do a lot of coding so I prefer to touch type and use the touch pad on my MBP whenever keys don't do the biz, subsequently avoiding the mouse. A Mighty Mouse would be fine but I've had the MX1000 since before I bought a Mac (I'm in the same position as you, can't justify the expense on a mouse at the moment), but I do like the zillion buttons on it (Expose, tab through apps, show desktop, Return, forward/back through browers, etc).

I'm just waiting for the Mac 'Airboard', a wireless keyboard with a touch pad built in (think MBP but without the screen).

I use the mighty mouse. Yes, yes, yes I know, but I like it and I'm short on cash and haven't justified buying a new mouse yet.

Maybe I'll upgrade soon!

Ooh thanks for the MX Revoution tip-off; my 'MX1000' has been refusing to drag things (i.e. it seems the left mouse button can no longer sustain/hold clicks). I'm very nearly fed-up with accidental attempts at opening Fireworks PNGs in iCal...
