MobileMe Says I’m Sorry

I just received an email from the folks at me.com. This is what it said:

We have already made many improvements to MobileMe, but we still have many more to make. To recognize our users’ patience, we are giving every MobileMe subscriber as of today a free 60 day extension. This is in addition to the one month extension most subscribers have already received. We are working very hard to make MobileMe a great service we can all be proud of. We know that MobileMe’s launch has not been our finest hour, and we truly appreciate your patience as we turn this around. Read this article for more details.

The MobileMe Team

Well… what do you say about that? Sure, I’ll take the 60 free days, I guess, but maybe this whole fiasco hasn’t affected me as much as others. That said, I thought I’d throw it out there and see what your thoughts were on the apology as well as .me

Bring it!

MobileMe probably wasn't their best revamp of an online service. This is probably something they could've held onto as far as development for a little bit longer prior to release.

That's 90 days i've gotten free now…. They can give all the free days they want, i would just like to do the things it's suppose to do, like i don't know… sync my bookmarks. or maybe even just my photos would be cool.

I've had alternative ways of syncing myself for awhile now. Switching to MobileMe would actually be an inconvenience of large proportions, if not epic. So I'm extremely glad I resisted the initial 60-day free trial offer. Which I truly resented – it forced me to decide before I could sync my iPhone instead of giving me the chance to be reminded to decide later so that I could research it first. Not their finest hour? It's their Microsoftiest hour!
