EyeTV can recognize the DirecTV, and I can view liveTV great, I just can’t change the channel using eyeTV. Instead, I have to use the DirecTV remote and use the DirecTV box.

I am new Mac person therefore it is a little diffucult for me to navigate. With the HD stick for a mac can you schedule to record an entire series of a program or do you always have to find the program on the guide and record from there?

I recently got an Elgato USB DTT stick for use with my Macbook Pro and its been working like a treat. I wrote a short blog post about it the other week.

Overall, I love the little thing. Only problem is not picking up a few channels.

Zephir USB IR blaster, http://tinyurl.com/2c466t is what you need to use DirecTV and Cox digital with your EyeTV. Lets you change channels with EyeTV and use the built in scheduling.

Very cool, thanks for the info. I am currently an Apple TV user and this confirms that I should have bought a Mac Mini and one of these gizmos instead.
