Grab full browser screens in Paparazzi!

I love Firefox, and I love Pearl Crescent Page Saver but…

With all the memoryleak/slowness/os x funk in Firefox recently, I decided to switched to Safari for all my browsing needs. Today, however, I needed a full area browser window grabber like what Pearl does with the scrolling and the saving and the grabbing (with the stuff at the place, you know). I went to the all knowing power of my Twitterverse and was rewarded in mere seconds with a tool I hadn’t heard of before. Paparazzi! (You gotta love Twitter, seriously, it’s the bomb!). Shocking, Yeah… Something *I* hadn’t heard of (sheesh!) yet… I know! (smirk)

Anyway, it’s pretty freaking simple once the app is running in the background. Just put “paparazzi:” before your URL in the address bar, like this:

And you will be presented with a nifty little popup like this one:

Cool huh? You will be able to save the page anywhere you like. Hey, I may be learning of this later than most of you, but you gotta give me some slack, I’ve been using Firefox forever so I’m kind of a Safari Noob right now. Besides that’s what this site is for right? (exposing my noobities)

ok, anyway… Are there any other nifty browser grab utils out there I need to know about? Maybe I should do a Safari hack post so we can all post coolness there? … Yes/No? You tell me. Okay, that’s it, have fun with Paparazzi, I know I am.

OFF SUBJECT: What’s the deal with Twitter recently? No @ to SMS, no more Track function? I’m going through serious withdrawal. I need my @’s and my track terms. What do I do to get them back? Beau and I are revamping MeTweets to give us a simple (meaning simpler and faster than Hahlo), quick @/DM/Reply interface, but why can’t I just use Twitter anymore? C’Mon guys, you’re killing me!!!

Brent, are the Firefox issues just on the Mac? I have been running Firefox 3 on all three platforms (Mac, Win, Linux) and have not run into any of the issues you were discussing at the beginning of your article. Have any sites discussing the Firefox issues? Thanks!

I hate FF for exactly these reasons, and have been longing for something like this for EONS. You were not the only one not aware of this product, so many many thanks for sharing

I know FF3 just came out, but I tried the beta and didn't like the interface all that much. I will try FF3 again now that it's released, but I'm starting to get used to Safari now… what to do? haha

I've been using it for awhile and it works awesome. Especially when I need to show clients some screen grabs. Twitter FTW!

What an awesome app. I've been grabbing and compiling in Photoshop…what a headache.

    Thanks for the tip.
