I caught the end of a Twitter conversation today between new Mac owner Clintus McGintus and long time Mac owner Cheryl Colan . Clintus had just finished thanking Cheryl for her help in syncing his Google Calendar with his iPhone. This jogged my brain a bit and made me realize that I hadn’t posted about it yet here on iBAM so that’s what this is. A quick tutorial on how to sync your gCal with iPhone via iCal. (At least until Apple or someone else creates a direct sync method).
I’ll try to keep this visual and simple as there are several steps in the process. Here’s the skinny:

I have been on the road a lot more than usual lately, so having the time to sit down with my ever-present MacBook Pro has been more difficult than usual. I do have the benefit of owning an AT&T 3G wireless card and as anyone who has met me knows, my MBP is spot-welded to my hip nearly at all times. The issue I have though, is when I’m traveling, there’s not always the “room” or time to pop open the ‘ol MBP and slap in the card (as easy as it may seem to be be). So, my also-ever-present standby for blogging has become my iPhone. I can do just about anything inside the iBAM Admin here because I use the WPhone Admin Plugin. This little tool has proven to be well worth it’s weight time and time again. My thanks to the WPhone Admin crew for some really useful stuff! Also, a couple extra kudos for being WP 2.5 compliant as well. I look forward to your future enhancements and upgrades.

Word Clock is a beautifully simple typographic screensaver (more of a screen-toy than a “saver” but whatever). This one comes to us from the brilliant mind of Simon Heys. I am a type fanatic so this little screensaver sits high on my “loves list”. Simply beautiful! Thanks Simon!
