Ask iBAM: Posting comments to an iWeb page

Fellow iBAM’er Ricky sent me a question concerning iWeb pages. I’m not an iWeb user so I thought this would be a great election into the Ask iBAM category. So here’s Ricky’s question:

Is there a way that i can receive comments on my web page that i created with iweb and my .mac account. I am wanting people to be able to communicate with me through there comments on my webpage if it is possible. you know like youtube lets you leave comments and then you can reply to the comments.

Here’s my question: Does iWeb’s blog templates even support commenting? Off the bat, my thoughts are that there might be a difference in the functionality of an iWeb blog template versus a website template but I am not sure as I haven’t made one yet. Anyone out there have experience with these? Please enlighten us!

Yes, iWeb does support comments but only on iWeb blogs being hosted using .Mac.

My Disqus doesn't work properly with iWeb-

Why can't we post comments on the iWeb Pages like the Blogs, makes no sense that this feature is not available.

Also makes no sense that the comments on the blogs cannot be sorted so that the most recent comments are at the top of the list and not the bottom.
