You don't need the script. See the comments above. We figured out that all you need to do is hold down the mouse button for a few seconds and it connects. :)

Any apple bluetooth devices will auto reconnect if you click on it couple of times after switching it on. Everytime I switch on my keyboard or mighty mouse, i just click couple of times on the keyboard or mouse and it auto connects. You need to give a 5 sec gap before clicking on the mouse after switching it on. Apple keyboard will connect immediately after switching it on and pressing couple of keys.

Yeah, the script still helps me in reconnecting my bluetooth headset everytime i come back to my computer.

Wow - I've been struggling with this since I bought my wireless mouse back in May - what a relief to find the "hold a click for 4 seconds" tip - thanks Ken!

Yeah, it was a painful process for me to figure that out! About two weeks of doing what you described without your script!

Really? I had no idea! HAHA!

Would have been nice to know that one. Thanks for the tip! Oh well, this little script is still useful for other devices.

Thanks Ken,

I have found that when you open the cover on the wireless mouse, you have to hold it down in a "long click" (about a four count) and it will connect automatically.
