Michelle, my wife, is having her birthday this month (the 26th). And I have this crazy idea… Honestly, I have done this a couple times before, but never blogged about it or opened it up to the general population. Mainly because I’m betting that you don’t really care, but you could prove me wrong (yet once again). This year, since it’s an extra special year (she’s pregnant with our first), I thought I’d try something new and exciting. Let me start out by saying that she’s not that much of a blogger, but I’m hoping this event will inspire her to blog all the more. I know that at the very least, she will personally thank everyone who participates because she is just that kind of girl. Okay, here’s how it works…

Through my company (Synergy) and it’s PayPal account, I have set up a special page where a person can go to donate to “Michelle’s Birthday Fund 2007″. It will accept any amount and just about any form of payment. All you have to do is click on the massive donate button just below.

As this is her first birthday as a mom-to-be, it comes at a really great time for her. She does need some “new mommy clothes” (she’s currently in month 5, due Jan 28th) but I’m willing to bet that she would rather buy some stuff for the soon-to-emerge kiddo. As a guy who never really knows what to get for my lovely wife, this method has proven before to be extremely successful in the fact that she gets to pick exactly what she wants for her birthday as well as it does take the stress off friends and family of having to shop for something and hope it’s the right thing or that she doesn’t already have it. All in all this little birthday fund donation thing works great and with the new technologies available to a techno-geek like myself, it’s just makes for a really fun adventure.

So… that’s it! If you are so inclined to jump in the fun and help me make this birthday an extra special one for Michelle, I thank you in advance. If you don’t feel the urge, no worries at all and please don’t feel any pressure. This is supposed to be fun.
