Do you Pownce?

I do… Join me at: http://pownce.com/iBoughtAMac/ I (thanks to Kenny) am the newest member to the pownce.com family. I have 6 invites and no idea what it does, so some insight and requests are in order. What do I do with this thing?  haha… I’m thinking this might be a good way to keep iBAM’ers notified of iBAM coolness. Any other ideas?

  • Yes, 'tis slow as something that's growing by about a zillion users an hour. It's still well in beta, and I think I've sent about 30 bugs just today in the few minutes I played around with it.

The most annoying bug being that the 404 page had two email links to email bugs. The email links didn't have an address.

As for the AIR application, think Twitterific, make it incredibly flaky, unresponsive, and somewhat confusing, and you've got it figured out. Oh, and it installs it in your Home folder, just like where you don't want it.

    I hate Adobe.
  • no need, i am in now :D

  • Any chance I could snag one of those invites?
  • Is it just me or is it reaaaaaaalllllyyyy slooooow!
  • I'll be your friend... (If I figure out how to do it - ha!)
  • Pownce is a file transfer social network, it's strongest point. It's nowhere near as polished an interface for one-way transfer of information. Twitter is still the best way to that. (I first saw mention of this post on Twitter - I only have one "friend" on Pownce).
  • I see the file send feature as being very useful. No more dealing with AIM firewall issues. And no need for email addresses or links copy and pasting like Sendspace or Senduit
