iPhone … ug!
Watching Twitter today was very depressing as most of my friends were standing in line all day waiting for their iPhones. I, myself, am pulled in two directions. The geek side of me wants the latest and greatest of everything right NOW and thus is screaming for me to run down to the nearest Apple store and just charge the thing and pay for it in monthly installments over the next thousand years plus interest and whatever else adds along the way. This is a pretty tempting scenario since I would “have a new iPhone” and that’s what’s most important, right? However, the sensible side of me says that the next version is going to be better, cooler and all that plus with the thousand year payment plan still in effect when that version comes out (I’m guessing 6 months, maybe not though), it would just compound and make things all that much worse. Nevertheless, my inner battle ensues… I have 3 hours till my timezone releases it and I have to decide what I want to do. In the meantime… what do YOU think? Maybe you can help me make up my mind (or confuse me all the more - ha!)

Personally, I’m still listening to the wait voice. Like anything, its going to have a few bugs and for that price, I’m more than willing to let that be someone else’s problem for a few months.

I’m with you, it’s pretty scary dropping that kind of cash to only find out that something better (or fixed) was right around the corner. Still… how cool would it be to have it now??
There’ll always be a new model in the pipeline Brent. I would say go for it if its affordable. If not, build an iPhone savings plan, and wait for rev2
