Watch me (it’s not that interesting)

You probably didn’t notice, but there’s a new link in the menu up there. It says “Watch” and that’s just what it is. Now that I have fought with Ustream.tv for 2 weeks (seems that’s the time I need to fight with everything before I figure it out), and finally have it working. I have linked it to my built-in iSight camera in my MacBook Pro and you can look through it’s eyeball just about anytime I remember to turn it on. Here’s a warning though, It’s not that interesting watching me stare at my screen all day doing what I do, but every once in a while, there’s something cool to look at, like maybe during the iBAM TalkCast or when I’m telling stupid stories in the office or something. Honestly, it’s there for those times and really nothing else. Stop by every once in a while and I’ll do my best to keep things interesting.

Can you post how you were able to get it working on your Mac? Apparently, there is no support available on their site…

Sure… Not sure how much of a help I will be, but here’s what I did (honestly, it took 2 weeks to figure this out so I’ll leave out all the troubleshooting steps). If this doesn’t work, feel free to comment and I’ll do what I can to help.

    Reinstalled Flash player (latest version)
be sure to “allow” access to your camera
Right-click on the popup movie and select “Settings”
Click the little camera tab (4th one over I think)
    Choose “USB Video Class Video”
    Click close

If you don’t see your mug in the window then, it could be one of a million other things. Hope that helps… Let me know

@Tom. Are you having issues getting to the adobe flash player settings? If so, try this.

Before logging on, right click on the featured show on Ustream’s homepage. This should give you the flash player settings. From here, just follow Brent’s steps above.

For some reason I wasn’t able to get the flash player settings from the popup window that appears when I tried to go live.
