Growl really is a great app. I have it setup so that it works with many apps. THe best bit, I can now see Tweets with it.

@:deelirium: You can set Growl up to work with Mail as well, if you wanted to bring all your notifications under one hood, as it were! I have it so I can see when Cyberduck finishes uploading, its my notifier for Quicksilver, I can use it for Mail.app, Newsfire and all my instant messaging needs. It’s great!

I majorly heart the Growl. I have it hooked up with the Gmail Notifier to give me a pretty little popup when I get new emails.

Actually, the popups are a lot like Mail.Appetizer (http://www.bronsonbeta.com/mailappetizer) for Mail.app, which is what I use at work. But for my personal email I’d rather just keep it all in the browser interface than importing to Mail. That’s where Growl makes my day.

Brent, in growl prefpane, try the “music video” display. it’s my only favorite.
