On Designing Shirts for iBAM

ibam_shirt.jpg

Alright… Here’s my first attempt at incorporating the logo on to a shirt. I went for simple, but I just can’t do this by myself. Last night I showed the design to several iBAM members and a couple of the logo contest judges. Overall everyone seems pretty “okay” with the design, but as you all know, I am more interested in the opinion of the community here at iboughtamac.com so… I want to throw this design on the table and open up the discussions. There have already been some really great ideas presented so before I ordered the shirts, I wanted to see if there were any other ideas from the iBAM crew.

ibam_tshirt.jpgMy thoughts are kinda pulled in several directions. I know we have picked Christopher’s logo as the design for iBAM but for some reason, I’m not so sure that I would want to wear a big heart on my chest. I do like it though and it is definitely growing on me, but I don’t know how I feel about it just yet. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the logo quite a lot and I don’t want to open up a critique session on the logo, that’s not the point here. We have a logo, now how do we use it? As always, I am deeply interested in your thoughts, ideas & suggestions. I’m not looking to make a buck on these shirts, I just want them worn proud by my fellow “Mac purchasers”. So, the floor is open for discussion. What do you think?

What should we name our community site?

  • So... the ladies like the logo? Props to Chris! okay, so maybe I produce a few like this in a ladies tee? Thoughts?
  • I think it would look awesome on a blue lady's tee, but I'll admit it's not the most... masculine logo out there.

I'd buy one. In fact, if you don't mass produce the shirt, I might go about making my own. Please spare me the agony of making a stencil of those letters.
  • Pssh.. Whatever. I'd wear it everyday.
  • very nice Chris, not exec for 100% but you're almost there :-)
  • I like the logo but I'm with you, not sure if it should be on a shirt. But "it's growing on me"
  • I think it's more of a matter of positioning it than anything else. Try a different layout.
  • Whoa, 75% say "Meh...maybe not so much."

Hmm, I just now noticed this http://flickr.com/photos/iboughtamac/463252662 & http://flickr.com/photos/iboughtamac/463252704 logo design, and think it would look good on the shirt. Maybe have two different shirts with different logos.
