Update Your OS X Software

OS X Update

Have you updated your OS X? Several updates from Apple came out today, so this was a great opportunity to talk about updating your software in OS X. This is just about the easiest process on the planet (yep, even easier than installing a printer). All you need to do is click the little apple in the upper left of your Finder (Desktop) screen and select “Software Update…” A dialog will pop up and you are ready to roll. Upon execution, your updates will begin to download and install upon completion. The download dialog should look a little something like this:

(Important note: This only works for Apple Software, or software delivered by Apple. Your third-party software will need to be updated according to the manufacturer’s specifications.)

Download

After downloading and installing, depending on the updates, the updater might ask you to shutdown or restart. Be sure you have saved everything in your open programs before you click the dialog buttons. That should do it! Happy updating!

I think the best way would be to reinstall iTunes as Quicktime comes with it. Also, try a system update.
