You might find ScreenGrab even better. A small icon in the lower corner of the browser window offers much the same features without filling up the toolbars.

For Safari there is a feeware app called Paparazzi!.
“Paparazzi! is a small utility for Mac OS X that makes screenshots of webpages.”
