Hi,
i have got the same problem. But its not the only problem i have with FIREFOX.
When i close FIREFOX it starts again in the BACKGROUND. I can only see that its runing in the TASK-Manager of WINDOWS XP. And only with the TASK-Manager i can KILL FIREFOX. When FIREFOX is killed typing is normal in all Forms, But a couple of minutes later FIREFOX starts again in the BACKGROUND and typing in Forms doesn’t work anymore. FIREFOX is my favorite WEB-Browser but in the moment i use Internet Explorer by Microsoft . So when somone can help me please.

I think I’m over Firefox. It dies on me often. I use a lot of Add-On’s but the non-type form… oh, man that grinds my gears.

Yeah, my thoughts as well. How come it only freaks out on text fields? Then again... That's why I'm not a programmer, that kind of stuff would drive me insane! I feel for the crew over at Mozilla. Keep up the good work guys, it's a minor inconvenience. At least there's a semi-easy fix.

I have also had this problem with Firefox, and if you re-enter the form the problem clears up. What I find really odd, is that Firefox gets the keystrokes to open a new tab and gets mouse info which runs through my keyboard, yet will not record data into the form unless smacked in the head.
